Principal's Welcome

Murtoa College is a small regional school located in Victoria’s rural Wimmera district. We proudly provide P–12 education and bus services for families across our local area, including surrounding communities such as Horsham, Minyip and Rupanyup—bringing students from across the district together in one caring, connected school community.

At the start of 2025, we welcomed Bani Walup Early Learning Centre to our school site. The centre offers government-run childcare and kindergarten, with high-quality programs and modern facilities for children aged 0–6. For many families, this creates the reassurance of a seamless learning pathway from birth through to Year 12, all on one shared site.

Choosing a school is choosing a community, and at Murtoa College families quickly feel the difference. Our size is our strength. With small class sizes and a close-knit P–12 setting, every student is known, supported and genuinely cared for. This enables truly personalised learning—teachers can respond quickly to individual needs, set clear goals, and work alongside students and families to develop individual learning plans where needed, so each child is enabled, extended and supported to make strong progress.
